DMG MORI opens new technology center in Gothenburg
DMG MORI celebrates the grand opening of its new technology center in Gothenburg. With a state-of-the-art 430 m² technology center, the company is sending a strong signal about the strategic importance of the Nordic market. “With the new technology center in Gothenburg, we are creating a central platform for customers and partners from across the region. The Nordic market stands for innovative strength, technological excellence and high-quality standards. These are all values that DMG MORI embodies,” said Dr. Neun, Executive Officer and Managing Director & Chief Sales & Service Officer EMEA North (D-A-CH, Nordics).
Martin Svärdh, Managing Director of DMG MORI Sweden, also emphasized the importance of the location for the region: “Gothenburg is the ideal location to further expand our proximity to customers in the Nordic countries and shape the future of manufacturing together.”
DMG MORI welcomed around 100 invited guests to the grand opening ceremony, including customers from Nordic countries and representatives of DMG MORI management.
Technology and digital focus for the Nordic market
The new technology center presents a technology portfolio tailored to the requirements of the Nordic market with seven DMG MORI machines. The technological focus is on 5-axis milling, complete machining, short series production and Full Service 5.0, among other things. The offering is complemented by a strong digital focus, in particular with CELOS X, digital solutions and complete machining. DMG MORI is thus specifically targeting the aviation & space, mobility, maritime & subsea, high-tech manufacturing and energy sectors.
Strategically ideal location
As Sweden’s second largest city, Scandinavia’s largest port and a logistics hub between Norway, Denmark and Sweden, Gothenburg offers ideal conditions. Its proximity to an international airport ensures excellent accessibility for customers from across the Nordic region, including western Norway.
With the new location, DMG MORI is strengthening its presence in Northern Europe in the long term and underlining its long-term commitment to the Nordic market.
